SAGA’s Mission
To represent and promote the interests of South Australian groundsprayers at all levels.
SAGA’s Objectives
- To carry out activities that improve the professionalism of the industry
- To promote the value and professionalism of the industry to the community
- To collect and disseminate information to members
- To liaise with like-minded and stakeholder organisations
- To liaise with, cooperate with, and lobby government at state and federal levels
Recent significant activities
- SAGA Industry Day 2013. 10 relevant topics and 10 engaging speakers, 13 trade stands, 100 participants. 22 February 2013.
- Survey of members, and report to Biosecurity SA on the potential impact of changes to SA legislation in relation to Group I herbicides. May 2013
- Lobbying the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority) to review its policy on mandatory no-spray buffer zones, via the Australian Groundsprayers Association. Ongoing
- Disseminating information to members. Ongoing

- To lobby government to take action against unlicensed spray contractors
- To develop a new SAGA website that will provide real benefits to members
